WINNER! Risholi most certainly has talent! Congratulations to you! Everyone who participated can expect their items by the end of this week, and an extra item for the winning country!
Deadline: November 30th 2012
This event is now open for participants! You will have roughly two weeks to complete your entries, and there are no plans to grant an extension at this time.
"Your country needs YOU!"
Your host is totally not biased at all. Nope. Not a bit.
Last year the citizens of Voleros were given a challenge by their (sometimes overly proud) seasonal deities: to display their talents for the world to see!
Each country was put into a frenzy of singing, dancing, crafting, and sleeping. Meals were cooked, swords forged, bows drawn, equations solved, and naps had. In the end, Elavernis came out on top (much to the Summer God's disappointment) and there was much celebrating.
This year the competition has been re-kindled. What country will take the prize this time around? Will Elavernis remain on top? Perhaps Ayre's subjects will take the lead to make up for last year's loss? Will Lumeria's subjects, with all that time indoors out of the cold, prove most talented? Or will Risholi's citizens take the win to make their new little goddess proud?
There's only one way to find out!
And so, here we are once again...
*Insert last year's stock cheering and clapping noises*
We are more than happy to revive this worldwide talent competition between the four countries!
As with last year's competition, the rules are simple:
Draw or write your character displaying one of the three "talents" on his or her character sheet in the most creative or comic way possible.
The three talents are the skills you put on the character sheet (under Talent) when you applied to join the group. Please remember that while they may be included in your submissions, secondary characters are not permitted to participate in events.
Only one submission will be accepted for each talent, but you can submit for more than one talent. In other words, each person is allowed up to three submissions (up to 9 points total).
For example: If your character is talented at dancing and cooking, you can submit an image for dancing and another image for cooking. Comics are allowed and will be considered "one whole" submission and ranked accordingly.
Each Country will receive a maximum of 3 points per submission.
Submissions must be dated AFTER November 14th (November 15th-30th) to qualify!
1 Point will be given automatically for participation.
2 Additional points will be given for submissions of high quality (read: you shock the judges) in comparison with effort/originality/and with rest of your gallery. Art submissions would typically include multi-paged comics and fully colored & shaded illustrations with background. Note: background can be anything you desire and does not have to be a performance stage.
Collaborations are allowed! Collaborations would get the number of collaborators x the prize. Eg. If two people worked on one image and the image received 3 points, they would get their country a total of 6 points for submitting the image.
All participants get an item prize. All the participants in the Country that wins get an extra item.
Submit your deviations into the "Talent Event 2012" folder and write in the description or title which Country you want the points to go to! You have until November 30th to support your country (and god) with your character!
IF YOU DO NOT WRITE WHICH COUNTRY YOUR DEVIATION IS FOR IN THE DESCRIPTION OR TITLE, IT WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY POINTS
Seriously. It makes us all sad having to hunt through your galleries for your character sheets just to know what country you're from.
Yes, this sample is from last year. No, you aren't allowed to use last year's entries this year. I will be checking submission dates, you!
"Hmm... something seems slightly off."
Eridian Talent #3: Sleeping apparently so well that he wouldn't notice a brush running across his face ;D
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
We look forward to seeing your talents again this year!
